What is Selfless by Hyram?

When it comes to skin care, it's all about the ingredients because ingredients don’t lie! Sound familiar? This tagline is echoed by TikTok and YouTube “skinfluencer” Hyram Yarbro, known for his honest reviews and digestible information about the ever growing encyclopedia of skin care ingredients. After amassing almost 7 million followers on TikTok, almost 4.6 million on YouTube, and at the encouragement of his loyal followers, Hyram introduced his co-founded brand Selfless by Hyram to the world. At the rapidly growing rate of the current beauty industry, it was no surprise this skin care enthusiast would follow suit in creating his own skin care line.

What does Selfless by Hyram do?

Launched in June 2021, Hyram partnered up with indie brand The Inkey List to create Selfless by Hyram, with a goal of creating high quality skin care formulations at an affordable price range. Unlike many other brands, one major and important proponent of Selfless by Hyram includes giving people the opportunity to empower others who are affected by global climate issues. As part of the brands main philosophy of social impact, the brand has committed to: transparent and sustainable sourcing of ingredients, climate consciousness by reducing carbon emissions where they can, using recyclable packaging, and continuing to evolve with more sustainable options. Like many of his generation, Hyram felt it was necessary to use his platform to not only provide great skin care knowledge, but to also bring more awareness to and encourage young people to help foster social change. Even the smallest of efforts can make a difference. As part of this philosophy, Selfless by Hyram partnered with two organizations where a percentage of product sales would go directly to The Rainforest Trust and the Thirst Project.

The Rainforest Trust is an organization that aims to protect endangered species and helps prevent deforestation. The Thirst Project is an organization that provides clean drinking water to underserved communities helping to end the water crisis.

The influencer began his skin care journey during college where he became curious as to what products and its ingredients could help with his acne and other skin concerns. He began reading and researching on what ingredients did, how they helped and where they came from. He launched his YouTube channel in 2017 to share with others his journey and has been known for his ingredient focused reviews of the latest skin care launches.
